Product variant images bulk upload problem
Working on the x-5 business using local server and have the product variant mod activate. Trying to upload the images to the product variant and followed the import instructions. The import function will run however, it will not load the image in the variant attributes.
Import to the products.csv sku,name_en,variantImage,variantImageAlt G123,G123 Gildan 9.3 oz. Ultra Blend 50/50 Open-Bottom Sweatpants,\var\images\product_variant\34_f_fm.jpg ,White Is that something that I did wrong? Was told by the x-cart sales team that x-5.3.+ supports product variants image bulk upload. Please advice. Thanks! |
Re: Product variant images bulk upload problem
Do your import file has 4 columns only? If so, how would XC5 tell which variant a row represents? As far as I see your file has no any information on variants.
Try to create a product with variants, upload images manually and then export it ad use the exported file as a sample. |

Manually added the file ( see maunallyPV.csv) and followed the same format, even added the variantsku (see products.csv) but it will not even uploaded the variantsku nor the jpg. Although it will tell you that it has been imported, updated. And pls see the error from the log below. Please help.

Re: Product variant images bulk upload problem
It looks like an error happens when you try to import images.
Try to create a local copy of your website, then disable Color Swatches module there and import images again. Does this helps? If so, it may be a bug in Color Swatches module. Do not try doing this on your live XC5 installation as this may corrupt your database (some data may get lost when you re-enable Color Swatches back). At least create a full backup (files plus database) before disabling the module and importing any data. |
