Email Design and how to...

I am not sure I am even in the right topic for this question, but will ask anyway.

I am trying to figure out how to use a "stationery" type appearance in all emails generated by x-cart.

Actually, I just want to use the design that my site is currently in emails that x-cart sends to new users/customers/registrations and so on.

I know it's possible but just don't know the files I need to change, or how to change them.

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Thank you,

You can manually format each message to look the same inside the email messages from the admin/master login. Under Languages, in the "Select Topic" box click on E-Mail...it lists each email message and you can edit them individually. What you may want to do in order for everything to look alike is to create a .css file (maybe email.css) specifically for your emails and "call" it inside each message.

Just a suggestion.

Ok, I found the area you are talking about, but what do I put in the boxes to call a "email.css" type file into place, Isn't there a way to just bring a ".htm" file in like an 'include' kind type file?

hello - about your problem
the tpl used for the emails are stored in /mail. If you choose to send html emails , i guess it will be /mail/html/. You can edit the tpls there. They all call a header (mail_header.tpl) and a footer (signature.tpl). Edit those two files and they should change the general layout opf the emails.
This is just a suggestion. I havent tested it.
