Shipping Method Names

How can I change the shipping method names on the checkout page?
Instead of
"U.S.P.S. Priority Mail 2-Day™ Medium Flat Rate Box"
I'd prefer it to say
"U.S.P.S. Mail"

You can not change names of these shipping methods, as they are received from the shipping carrier in real-time during checkout.

You can still change them with custom module I guess but it may not be legal as they are "trade mark"
