Add a sidebar widget
 

Is there an easy way to add a sidebar widget....


a space on the left under categories etc that you could add images w/ links or just links.


Tried to do the sidebar addon listed here http://kb.x-cart.com/display/XDD/Creating+sidebar+menu+in+customer+area but it is for version 5.1 and did not work, then I attempted to follow the directions and basically make one myself, I failed miserably... is there a working version for 5.2.10 out there?

Please find an updated version of the module that is compatible with 5.2.x versions, it is attached to the KB article.
