Permissions Problem
 

When I try to change a template or add a page, I am getting this error:

Permission denied error!
File /head.tpl was not saved.

Any idea on how to correct the permissions and where?

Try changing your permissions to 755 on your skin1 folder. You can do this with your FTP program in most cases by right clicking on the folder and clicking either CHMD or Properties.

I think its 755 that they are supposed to be. The X-Cart documentation doesn't seem to be online anymore... :?

Do you know of a good FTP Program to use? When I set the permissions and close the FTP program, the permissions do not seem to set. I am not sure why.

It could also be your host. I had a client the other day that permissions couldn't be changed except for 1 by 1 in the web file manager. Talking about a pain the....
