Can't creating modules, even with Next-SDK
Hi Again,
After manually creating some modules I found they do not appear when I rebuild and check the Installed Modules page. So next I've installed Next-SDK and get the error below when I run it from the domain URL.... Error: Server API must be CLI! So then.... I've tried to do it using Putty now and am having no luck their either :( Are there any comprehensive instructions on this? Tad frustrated and on a too tight a timeline to keep figuring everything out... I've never had to ask so many questions! While the knowledge base is getting completed, your assistance here is super appreciated. Thanks! |
Re: Can't creating modules, even with Next-SDK
Ah sorted!! I was executing it in Putty from the wrong place.
(note: my /next-sdk folder is located in my public_html) For others: 1.Log into putty as root 2. navigate to the public html folder (command shows root@skc [home/yourpath/public_html] #) 3. Type in the following to execute ./next-sdk/devkit/macros/create-module.php --module=MyName\\SidebarMenu and it worked! yay! |
Re: Can't creating modules, even with Next-SDK
Glad you got it sorted out. I have a tutorial on creating a custom skin/ module on my site: http://xcartguru.com/tutorials/x-cart-5-tutorials/building-a-custom-skin-in-x-cart-5/
It may help you. |

Thanks Mike! Between your tutorial and Tony's I'm pretty much cooking with gas :)
