template changes not displaying
 

I have made changes to my mail templates (signature.tpl, for example), but when an order is placed a mails sent out, the old signature information is still being displayed. I have tested on various computers to make sure the info isn't cached somehow. The only place I can think of that this information could come from is the skin1_original folder. Any ideas?

make sure that the changes were saved then empty the stores templates cache

No luck. Even after clearing the templates, I get the same thing. My mail/signature.tpl file shows:

{$config.Company.company_name}
{$lng.lbl_email}: {$config.Company.orders_department}
{$lng.lbl_url}: {$config.Company.company_website}

But the e-mails going out show:

Thank you for using X-Cart shopping system
Flaming Fish Music
Phone: 1-123-123-1234
Fax:
URL: www.flamingfish.com

do you have 2 copies of your files ?

1 in http and 1 in https ?

if so edit both

I checked that too. I'm pretty sure I only have one (one just redirects to the other), but just in case, I checked the ordering process in both http and https. Same thing.

try mail/html/signature.tpl

That's it! Seems so obvious now, though I really wasn't aware that I should even be looking in there. I'm sure that will also answer some of my future questions as well...
