EU Cookie Mod- SEO Issue- Design Issue
Hello,
I also posted this in the General section - But I think it fits here better: I set up a new store and Google spidered my site quickly. However I see ther is a problem with the EU- Cookie Mod in that Google picks up the Mods text and not the text of the product or category: GMT Store :: Fitness www.gmtstore.com/fitness/ The cookie settings on this website are adjusted to allow all cookies so that you have the very best experience. If you continue without changing your cookie ... Garmin nЭvi 42LM UK & Ireland www.gmtstore.com/garmin_nuvi_42_lk_uk_ireland.html The cookie settings on this website are adjusted to allow all cookies so that you have the very best experience. If you continue without changing your cookie ... I have disabled the MOD so that Google can re-look at my site and get the correct text. It should be placed at the bottom of the page i think - many others have them there Any fixes for this? Regards Glenn |

I would consider replacing that text with an image. Create the image, and adjust the language variable used to call the image.
Or you can edit the templates, so that the text is the last thing or near the bottom in the html, and then use CSS to position it back where you want it. |
Re: EU Cookie Mod- SEO Issue- Design Issue
Hello TotalTec,
Thanks for the good advice. Unfortunately I cam not good at X-Cart Smarty templates etc I am using a very complex responsive template. I don't want to mess it up. If someone can come up with a step by step solution - I would be eternally grateful. Regards Glenn |
