hi ive managed to get facebook like buttons to work for my products but can someone please tell me how i would go about getting a like button to display on the home page

Hi!

Is it question about X-Cart 5? If so, could you please let me know where you would like to locate your button? Besides that, did you create a facebook button via a separate template and assigning it to view list OR by editing existing one?

hi would like the button at the footer on main page and no didnt create any buttons via a sepperate template just put in the fcebook info int the go social modual and it put the facebook like button on the product page only not on the front page

In this case, you need to add a simple mod that will add Facebook Like button to the home page. If you want to do that yourself, you need to create an empty module as described here: http://kb.x-cart.com/display/XDD/How+to+create+a+module and let me know your developer and module ID.

Then, I will suggest what to do next. Basically, you will need to add a new template according to the article here: http://kb.x-cart.com/display/XDD/How+to+insert+your+HTML+code+into+any+part+of+the+ page#HowtoinsertyourH...odeviatemplate
