How to edit powered_by.tpl
 

I need to add a link to this part of the footer. When I edit it, nothing happens.

I want to add a link next to the copyright info.

You have to rebuild cache to see changes.

When editing template files I find it is more efficient to disable the template speedup tool.

Admin->Settings->General Settings / Optimization: Uncheck "Do not check if templates are changed (Smarty compile_check)"

1. Before .tpl file edits uncheck this entry and Apply Changes.
2. Do your .tpl edits. No need to rebuild cache to test your edits.
3. When satisfied with the edits, place a check mark back in the template optimization feature (to re-enable it) and Apply Changes.
