Changing colors
I have been trying to edit the colors in skin/common files/css
and I am finding it really hard to figure out what line effects what in the store..the main body was easy but I cannot seem to find what changes the color of the title backgrounds for the categories, reviews, best sellers etc...they are currently dark blue. I have managed to change the menu background and text colors but not the actual heading boxes..also the orange bar that goes right across the page and contains the search function and the category background where the text is...the actual background changed but there is a grey box around the text like an inner background that I need to change the color of... Can someone please tell me which lines I need to edit...I am using the 3 column default skin. Thank You... |
Re: Changing colors
I had decent success doing that sort of thing using Firebug's inspect element tool. It helps to temporarily disable the "Use speed-up tool for CSS" setting too (so you can see the native CSS file names).

Re: Changing colors
Thanks, I will down load firebug and give it a go...I did realise that I couldn't change the colors because they were actually an image...so I downloaded it, copied it and changed the color then uploaded it and switched the image path to point to it and voila!
success, I am quite proud of myself for figuring it out :) |
