broke responsive theme - not responsive !
I copied 'ideal responsive' to a new fold to create a child theme
Designer found a responsive template that she wants the site to look like http://www.watertownmemorialcompany.com/HTML/index.html My job is to turn it into an XC template which I was fairly successful at (home page only so far) http://www.watertownmemorialcompany.com/home.php However the XC template is NOT responsive and it's driving me nuts I built it OFF the a responsive template - so it should be ... but I took out the footer/ content/ header respectively and nothing seems to change it back to resp so somewhere along the way I broke it I also don't have a phone or anything - so I can onlyu check with responsinator.com Can you guys check ? What do you think is breaking it ? Some js or something somewhere ? sighhh Thanks DonnaNJ |
Re: broke responsive theme - not responsive !
Donna,
The site is still responsive. Something is just propping it open, and keeping it from reaching its smallest size. It might be JS causeing the issue, I think it is something with the portfolio section. Try removing that central cemetery stone section, and see if that fixes it. You really don;t need responsinator or a phone to check it, just use chrome, inspect an element so your toolbox/console come up, then by dragging the window, you can see what size you are at in the upper right corner. I try to keep everything nice, down to 350 pixels wide. That accomodates most mobiles. |
Re: broke responsive theme - not responsive !
Thank Mike -
That was it ... I found a min-width=780px somewhere in the css. Not sure where is came from - since I copied the bulk of this from ideal_responsive which worked. And the html template I based it on worked. But all I know is when I added a line to the bottom of altskin.css body {min-width:250px;} all is right with the world !! Thanks Donna |
