Changing gift certificate details
 

Heya everyone.

I have the Special Offers enabled so customers can accumulate points and convert them to a gift certificate. However, our program is set up so that everyone will be converting gift certificates for themselves, so I don't want the "to," "from," or "message" details on the conversion page; all I want is the "choose an amount" and "email address."

I tried to go the most direct route and I commented out the table rows for those sections on bonuses_points2gc.tpl, and I also commented out the recipient.value section on bonuses_points2gc.js. So now the page shows exactly what I want (amount and email), but unfortunately, when I do a test run with it, all I get is the error, "Please fill in all the required fields."

Does anyone know where I can go to edit the required gift certificate details? I looked at the gift certificate module and didn't see an area where I can un-require them, and it doesn't seem like giftcert.tpl has anything to do with this particular module.

Look in skin/common_files/modules/Gift_Certificates/func.js I looked in a different version of XC than yours, hopefully you have the same file. I don't see input being validated in PHP, but I do see a function checking for input in the JavaScript.
