Twitter widget
 

Hi there,

I want to embed a twitter feed in the right bar of my site, but unfortunately the (new?) timeline widget has a minimum width of 180px and the space I have available in the right bar is only 158px wide.

Can anyone recommend a free 3rd party widget that is more cusomisable than twitter's own in this regard?

We did actually have a basic one already, but it seems to have stopped working for some reason. It's been there a while (generated within Twitter), so I suspect that whatever twitter code it links to is now obsolete (as you can probably tell, I'm not an avid Twitter user).

If anyone can recommend or suggest a widget that still works, I would really appreciate it.

Hi Welly,
I used to use following free mode for displaying twitter post with my 4.1.7

But I don't know it will work with 4.5.4 or not.you can give it a try.

Many thanks for your posts Anandat.

I did look at the xcartmods one a while back, and also saw (after my original post) the twitter announcement about retiring the API version. No doubt at all that this is why my feed stopped working.

I'm sure some new 3rd party widgets will come along at some point. Just a shame about the minimum width on the official one...

Know what you mean ... It's a bit strange when you look at it initially - But it does work :-)

do not use twitter, it will make your cart run very slow.
