Images overlap text on product description
 

Hi

I have a problem where on some of my category pages the images overlap the product description. It only happens on 2 of my category pages though not on all of them? Anyone got any idea where i should be looking for my mistake?

Are all of your images the same width and height? Width at least should be consistent. X-cart has built in methods for dealing with these inconsistencies, but we can help a lot by providing it the same input each time.

I am amazed at the number of people who lack basic skills in editing images and compressing them for the web (not saying you, just in general). I highly recommend purchasing Adobe Photoshop or using Gimp (the free option) to resize your images and compress them for the web.

Hi thanks for the response, I am waiting for some images to be given to me so for now there are varying sizes but they will all be consistent. Would it be possible that it is due to the widths of some images being smaller?

Use Firebug/FF to look at the css, you have something in there that allows for the overlaping to happen and yes the way XC is build in that part images size matter

Thanks for the reply. I will have to see if I get the images on that page all the same size will the issue be resolved. I will let you know how I get on

Just to let you know the overlap was caused by different sized images, when I got the correct size uploaded the issue resolved itself :-)
