Default WYSIWYG editor SUCKS!!!
 

Ok is there a replacement for this?? Really need an upload image button, so people don't have to FTP iamges first. this should really needs to be fixed.

I tend to agree with you, but there is no need for shouting. :-)

After 6 years of xcart they still haven't fixed some of the most obvious things. guess I'll be switching carts soon. Still have :: in the title and no image upload function. very sad.

Actually I believe the ckeditor took out the upload, it was available in the earlier versions. As for simple image upload they can always use the "edit templates" section to upload images to "skin" directory

Steve, I never thought of that. Pretty nice, would be better through the WYSIWIG, but at least it is a non-ftp solution. Thanks

Use KCFinder - It's free and really simple to integrate into the CKEditor.

I'm still having trouble with this annoying bug where it says the WYSWYG Editor of the short description is empty while it's not (there is a short and detailed description in the 'add a new product' page).

I always have to switch into the text mode, save the product and then can use the WYSWYG Editor. I've posted this in bugs section since some time and XC only told me to use a patch which didn't fix the problem.

Any help is very welcome!

sixfigure, your issue is not related to the WYSIWYG editor, more that your descr fields are blank.

If you want a simpler editor with image upload, click here :)
