Authorize.net CIM - Ease of PCI Compliance

The Authorize.Net CIM module allows you to utilize the CIM service inside of X-cart. This service allows your customers to save credit cards and billing information on Authorize.net's servers, but it looks to customers like it's on your site.

This modules let's customers enter their credit card information through a pop-up hosted by Authorize.net. This information is sent to and stored on Authorize.Net servers. The module is able to select the credit card and submit the transaction through Authorize.Net. The current configurations allow for "Authorize Only" or "Authorize and Capture" transactions.

In addition, this module helps you with PCI compliance as it does direct posting to Authorize.net through their hosted popup form and takes X-cart out of the scope of PCI compliance. This makes it easier to be PA/DSS compliant. In addition, to a customer's view point, it looks like they never leave your site even though the popup is hosted and served by Authorize.net!

Authorize.net CIM

We already have several customers using this new module live and are very happy with it! Thanks to them for helping beta test it!

Carrie, does the Auth.net CIM module have to include a pop-up for collecting the card data or can it be done in an i-frame at checkout?

Hi,

It's technically an iframe layered on top of the current page. Maybe I should word that differently. So it's not technically a popup. If you look at the screen shots you should be able to see what I mean.

Thanks,

Carrie

Is there an option to pull the customer's address from xcart after they enter it, like a "ship to billing" option, or must the customer enter an address again in the popup?
Thanks!

As far as I know, you have to enter the address again in the popup. No way around it that I can see, since the popup is generated on Authorize.net's side. It's not great for the user experience IMO.

Have you tried modifying the settings within Authorize.net? There are settings for the information requested for the SIM form - perhaps they will also apply to this CIM method.
