Template editing, logo, images, etc.
 

First of all I need to let you know that I am totally new to databases. I have built 3 sites using FrontPage and am quite confused. I need a database because my inventory is getting overwhelming and I would like to have the newsletter and affiliate program. Anyway, here goes:

I am attempting to get my logo on the site. After reading the directions, this is what I did. I went to the admin. menu and clicked edit templates. Then I went to images and uploaded my logo, which appears with the rest of the stuff. Then, I went back to head tpl. and on the template, relaced xlogo.gif width---x height--. I clicked save file. When I clicked preview, there is nothing. When I go back to the actual store, there is nothing also. Oh, I almost forgot, I inadvertently deleted the xlogo.gif.

I would appreciate it if someone could help with this. I am growing very frustrated. Thank you. :cry:

Make sure you do not delete the vairable that refers to the image dir. The correct image name should be: {$ImagesDir}/myfile.jpg .

I appreciate your help. I did not delete the file but I finally got it working by renaming my gif file xlogo.gif. Does that make any sense to you?

Sounds like you did not edit the header template by inserting "your" file name. In any case, as long as you got it working... :)
