Header not showinng in shopping cart after adding product
 

For some reason the header (as well as both the left-bar & right-bar) are not showing up in the cart once you have added a product to the cart. :? Everything appears as you would expect when there is no products in the cart, but as soon as products are added (as stated above) the header, etc disappear. This happens whether the user is logged into the system or not.

I am currently using the vivid dreams - violet theme in X-Cart 4.4.5. I checked the demo online and it would seems as this is normal for this particular theme.

Is anyone able to tell me how to get the header (and perhaps the left & right bars) to appear in the cart whether there are products loaded in the cart or not. I assume I need to add some type of "include" statement into somewhere but I'm not sure where...

I would appreciate any help or suggestions. Many thanks in advance. :-)

I believe you can control cart behavior in skin/your_skin/customer/main/cart.tpl

however the left and right bar disappears in live demo too, so need to change your .tpl files

I thought I would need to modify one (or more perhaps) of the .tpl files, but couldn't figure out which...:? I looked thru the .tpl files that I thought would work but got even more confused. Wasn't certain if I should be modifying the products_list.tpl, the product_t.tpl, the product.tpl, etc, etc... and, yes, I did notice that the live demo did it also...maybe I'm being too pedantic or fussy...but to me it just did not look right...:-). Thank you anyway for the suggestion...

The checkout page has its own home.tpl - look in the module directory you are using. Also the header, left and right bar templates may have if statement what to show on regular pages and checkout pages. This is not a bug, it is just a way to make customers concentrate on checkout and not to be disturbed by other links

@ cflsystems Thanks for that advise also...I will follow that idea through. I think, IMHO, that the checkout page would look a little more consistent with the main header rather than the checkout page default format. Thanks heaps :)
