jQuery version issue
 

the call to the jQuery libraries is in meta.tpl, loaded early in a page:

<script type="text/javascript" src="{$SkinDir}/jquery-min.js"></script>

We are running 4.1.12, stable and if not sexy attractive at least. It comes with version 1.2.6 of the jQuery lib.

Various mods and custom work I am doing are specing a more recent version. Currently 1.5.2 is the highest stable release.

Since this is so widely used in X-Cart, will I be opening up a can of worms to load this higher version?

My specific problem seems to be with Colorbox.
