Socialize buttons on product page for 4.1 stream

The new version of x-cart has the Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and Pinterest buttons on the product page.

I need to do this for some 4.1 sites. Is there a paid mod for this? I can't find one anywhere.

x-cart, can I pay you to do it?

You can use sharethis - http://sharethis.com/ or addthis - http://www.addthis.com/. Both easy to integrate and you can find posts in here how to do it. I personally prefer addthis.

Re: Socialize buttons on product page for 4.1 stream

I have used AddThis on a Word Press site before with no issue because there's a plugin, but there's no plugin for x-cart.

Also, the code for adding the Pinterest link makes you put the image URL in the code. I have no idea how to make that happen dynamically or ther others from the 'A Website' code.

Has anyone effectively added it to a 4.1 version fo x-cart?

I like the exact way that Socialize works. It is available for older versions of x-cart?

It is not available for the old versions, unfortunately. But it can be custom coded for any version if required.

I had it added to my site, i'll see if I can find where I found the information and see if I can post it. But another one that you might be interested is a Wibiya bar. http://wibiya.conduit.com/ Once installed you can adjust what buttons are on it from the wibiya site, and there are some nice features you can add for customers to use as well.

Way off-topic: fmoses your site is pretty amazing! For an older X-cart you sure have all the bells and whistles! Rock on man, you're doing a great job.

Well I had never worked with the Wibiya toolbar, and your post made me curious.

So I installed it on my test site, and while doing so, created a quick tutorial : http://youtu.be/pQnlqqIZk0Y

I look at installing it both ways, with the module, and without. (for older stores) Hope it helps!

Great tutorial. I liked how you have the information for both manual and module install. Thanks for the contribution. Very easy product to easily add apps.
