permissions..

Hey there we got a new template installed and we are wondering if they mist a permission on a folder..

when we do changes in the admin to the css or template it does not stay?

what folders need a 777?

Re: permissions..

You don't change file permission in XC admin. That is done in your CPanel with File Manager. Pretty sure that none of your folders requires a 777 setting, Probably 0755. To make changes you can use CPanel File Manage edit feature. You can look / change your CSS through XC admin via Content --> Edit Templates. Hope that was the question.

Re: permissions..

yup, just go into your config.php and change the setting about 3/4 way down:

$admin_safe_mode = false

to

$admin_safe_mode = true

Then go to the bottom of this file and ensure there is no white space at the end

Save and re-try editing your CSS.

I would make a copy first before making changes so you have a backup
