X-cart picture uploading/cropping customization
 

Hello All,


I want to be able to crop pictures of products when uploading. Moreover, when vendors upload pictures and generate thumbnails, this is usually not square and depends on the dimensions of the actual picture.

I was wondering if there is a mod that allows cropping a square part of the picture to be the thumbnail generated. Something like what Facebook has when you upload profiles pictures, it asks you to crop it to be compatible with their dimension.

any idea?

Nothing that I know of - that would be a pretty large customization project.

I'm sure some of the PHP geniuses here could use this http://www.webmotionuk.co.uk/php-jquery-image-upload-and-crop/ to get it working as all the hard work has been done already. Seems to do exactly what your looking for

Wow this is pretty nice. I've been looking for something like this for vendors when uploading pics for thumbnail, detailed and xmag pics. Can it resize rather than crop?
