How to change canonical to root of domain???

I see I have it int he code as

<link rel="canonical" href="http://www.discountbubblemailers.com/home.php?cat=" />

I was told it should be

<link rel="canonical" href="http://www.discountbubblemailers.com" />

Xcart 4.3.1

Any ideas?
