Email Templates

I did a search and didn't see this - my apologies if I missed it.

I need to send my emails in html because of a mod I have that posts the data the customer enters to the cart in another color. When I send them plain text, they include formatting code on each line and aren't readable. I'm leary of html mail because of the large amount of aol and hotmail addys people use but I really don't have a choice.

Now, my question is, is there one basic file I can edit with the html template for all emails, or do I need to edit a seperate file for each kind of email (registeration, confirmation, order in production, ect). I'm hoping it's simple enough I can do the edit IF I just knew exactly where I needed to be.

you have seperate templates for html and text emails, notice the html folder in the mail folder.

you would need to go through and edit each template to cover it all but many are reused so its not too bad

If you use html, a lot of the labels are set up for regular text, you may have to go back into languages and change some of the text / labels to include
for proper formatting..

I too need to send HTML mail. However, when I looked under the /mail folder in edit templates, I don't have an HTML folder...hmm. I'm using v 3.4.10. Are they located somewhere else in this version?

Thanks in advance,

Abbie

Shan, thanks for the fast reply. Guess the only way for me to add in HTML is to edit all the templates in the /mail directory then huh? Thanks again!

May be I am dumb, but how I can activate the html mail function; i.e. for order confirmation etc.?

I cannot find it out... :(

AAAARGH! I found it out. I forgot the first rule of software users - rtfm (read the fucking manual)!
