Quick questions,

Just installed the feed manager(really want to get the google product feed submitted today) and when I click generate the page appears as though it is working but after about 2 minute or so it stops?

Installation was very simple so I assume it is all correct.

I have around 70,000 products, I am saving the file to the server, server is a VPS.

Do I need to have the file on the server before hand so it writes to it? What is the file type?

How long in your experience does the generator take to create the feed?

i am sure it is working fine

1. you dont need the file there first just make sure your path is correct

2. it can take awhile with 70000 it might be best to do it in sections ie ladies cats then mens for example

i would just run it then wait about 10 mins the progress bar dont work right

Mine hangs too and no feed is produced after the site went live. It just stops working on "Getting base data" . Has anyone ever had this problem? It does it on any feed. I really have to get this done ASAP as I have several engines that fetch the feeds daily.

Firetank is great, they responded quickly and the built in variant module (Product Options) must be turned on/enabled for the Feed Manager to do it's job. The Feed Manager Module is one of the best investments we made, it is essential! Thanks!
