Ajax Minicart and CSS
 

I'm modifying the templates in 4.4.4. I moved the minicart to a container on the right side of the page. However when I click on the cart icon the ajax minicart-box div appears behind the cart itself. I've attached an image since this is not a live site yet and I'm editing locally for now. Any thoughts would be appreciated as I'm a bit stumped here even after an hour of messing with firebug to figure it out as well as referencing a non-edited install of the same version.

I can't figure out what skin you are using, but from what I gather the ajax minicart "replaces" the minicart. Check the x-cart demo and you will see that none of the skins seems to use both.

Ok- sorry. It's an edited version of light and lucid 3 column. I will keep banging away at it. I know it's a css issue since I can move the "flyout" (minicart-box) over to the left with css it just keeps staying behind all the other divs and is thus obfuscated. Interestingly it works almost perfectly on the product detail page except for the fact that the price percentage savings star is "on top" of it. While I do have to say 4.4.4 is a great improvement in tpl file department- the CSS is still a bit of a mess.

Try increasing the CSS z-index for the minicart's div.
