Modify Special Offers to show only in category
 

I am running a campaign where I offer free shipping only on a category of products.
Would like to make this more prominent to the customer and it seems that the special offers module offers me this .
However if I enable Display short promo block it will show on every category and on the front page which is not something I particularly want.
I would like to have this displayed only in the category where the promotion is running.
Any idea how to achieve this ?

Check out: /common_files/modules/Special_Offers/customer/offers_short_list.tpl

Try some code like:
{if $offer.offerid eq 1 and $current_category.categoryid eq 244}

Where "1" is the id of your offer, and "244" is the id of your category.
