3rd level drill down Subcategories list on category page

Really need to display this and need some help with it if anyone can spare the time.

we have 3 category levels for all our products I need to show this each main cat page
On the BIKES category page we would see

BIKES (Main Category)

> Tire Size (second Level)
>> 10" (3 products)
>> 12" (5 products)
>> 13" (7 products)
>> 21" (1 product)

> Handle Bar Width
>> 15" (6 products)
>> 17" (3 products)
>> 19" (12 products)
>> 24" (10 product)

I already have the products in the correct cats, just need to be able to pull them out for link/display.... even basic coding logic would help me here...

Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance.

No responses, most likely because what you want is hard. No one would have the code you want unless they had needed it themselves.

Functionality like this already exists in the Flyout Categories Mod. That could be reverse engineered to produce the results you want, or at least some clues of how it could be accomplished.

It definitely needs to be done in php. A special search of the db, pulling all the cats and sub-cats, then ordering them as you described.
