Static page instead of home.php? change breadcrumb link?

Hi,

I would like to use a static page for the home page as it is easier for my client to update through the cms. This is easy to do through the speed bar - however the breadcrumb 'root' still links to the home.php.

Can I change the link in the first breadcrumb item?

I'm not sure what you mean by "update through the cms" as most content management systems are not really compatible with x-cart.

As far as the breadcrumb link, you can't change it easily if at all from home.php.

Thanks for the reply, JWait.

I see X-cart AS the Content Management System. Therefore, what I meant when I said through the CMS is update through X-Carts admin. But I am guessing by your response that gaining the same level of control over the 'front page' as you can the static pages just isn't possible (I.E the static page editor)?

Well, x-cart defaults to home.php. The home page is usually modified by changing the file welcome.txt which can be done using the "languages" section of x-cart from the admin side. You can add photos, links, etc. to welcome.txt to change things up a bit, if that is what you are asking.
