Move where the "Help" Box appears on the skin and rename Help to Help-Center
 

Hello All,

Firstly, I want to say I am new to x-cart, but NOT new to ecommerce. (i used to use softcart) and, let me tell you, x-cart is leaps
and bounds better and much more powerful! I am very impressed with X-cart gold version 4.4.3 and its features.

I have x-cart gold version 4.4.3 installed and am currently using the
"Light & Lucid (3 column)" skin.

1) If on this skin, I would like to move the "Help" section to be the first column on the top-left ABOVE
the "Categories", and then have "Bestsellers" and "Special" underneath. So, is there a way to change
the order of where those blue sections on the left side of that skin appear on every page?

2) Is there a way to rename the Help box text, something else, like "Help Center" for example?
And, also on the help.php page as well, instead of it saying "Help zone", it says "Help Center" ?

Any help is deeply appreciated!

1. Yes, look in file left_bar.tpl
2. This is language variable - you can change its value from admin/contents/languages

I found the left_bar.tpl and it's ok. Thank you so much!

I have 2 more questions

1) But, what filter do I apply....which edit-language-entry do I edit for the text on top of "Help" on the left menu and which which edit-language-entry do I edit for the text on top of the help.php file where it says Help Zone?

2) Also, how do I remove that small little arrow on the right of the Help menu, and how do I remove that little question mark on the left of the help menu box ?

If you look in the template you are traying to modify you will see something like $lng.lbl_help - the lbl_help part is what you need to search for in langiage variable sin admin and change its value to whatever you want it to be. The XC manual can be of help as well - read it.
