SSL cert working...but images now not showing up

Okay this is a mystery and I'm not sure who to ask for fix.

My store and its images (databse for products, skin1/images for logo and buttons) working just fine.

I had forced the entire xcart directory into https because I continued to have complaints from customers regarding broken locks (for images or on "thank you page" not being under https)

Enter a new tweak on my server (dedicated, just me using it)

In my website I had the need to put a few pages under SSL. Decided with the help of the web dev and the Sysadmin that we would just tweak httpd so that when we wanted a page to be secured, we would alter the url to be https and the tweaking in the config httpd file makes it happen like magic.

Cool.

Working, yes.

But now...my xcart images from the skin1 folder are not showing up. Properties show they are there. But the browser won't view them.

I've changed the smarty.php file to reflect the https_location but this didn't fix it. I can't see anything else in config to alter in the store to make my images show up short of hand entering all the buttons and logos to be "fixed" instead of the xcart paths.

Help? Customers can't find the GO and PURCHASE buttons. I need to get those images working. ;)

Thanks for your ASAP help!

More info to add to the mystery.

I opened up my head template and where the logo path is with the {$ImagesDir}, I substituted the real path, making sure the real path was correct and to the images folder in the skin1 folder in the xcart folder.

Still didn't work. I wondered if it was a permission problem? Mother may I?

Images folder has permissions.....

Ack. :(

htaccess needed tweaking changing since I had limited images on domain (to keep from hotlinking off my site)

FIxed up htaccess and poof...images are all in the right places. ;)
