Adding "Items to view" drop down list
 

I like a nice clean site. Not something that customers have to "Scroll" forever down to see all my items in one particular catagory or Department. YET... there are some customers that want to see 25, 50,100, or 250 items all on one page. Not having to go page, by page, by page.

I am sure we have all seen other web sites that provide that option.

Is there any way to do that with 4.2.2 X-Cart?

I.E. a "Drop Down" menu of viewing the default or 25, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 etc... of my items?

Help or suggestions are appreciated.

Not without custom coding this on 4.2.x (4.4.x has it out of the box). I think there wasa thread in the forum about this with some sample code

Thank you for your reply!!! TRULY appreciate it. I have a customized site already. Specifically files changed were:

skin1/main.css
skin1/customer/home.tpl
skin1/customer/head.tpl
skin1/customer/main/product.tpl
skin1/customer/main/subcategories.tpl
skin1/customer/main/welcome.tpl

If I skip these files and upload all others (converting to 4.4) will this cause an issue? OR... what specific files should I upload so as ot to change everything else to what I am wanting??

No, it doesn;t work that way. 4.4.x is very different then 4,2.x, you can't just copy files. If you want to go to 4.4.x you can upgrade db only, store front and all customizations/3rd party mods have to be done again on the newly installed cart.
