Trying to turn side areas of Fashion Mosaic(grey) black

I am trying to change the color to the left and right of the content area of the Fashion Mosaic(grey) temp (from white to black) and leave the main content area white. I have tried using FireBug to locate this area with no luck and I don't think the Admin mode is made for this sort of thing??? It acts like the entire page back ground is white? Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong and how I can get my sides black?

Thank you!

Anybody on this?
I can't imagine QT would not give you the ability to put a different border color on either side opposed to the color of the main, viewable area of the web-site???

Maybe I am not being very clear with what I need? I would like for the background color to be black but the container color (the background color in the container ONLY) still to remain white. So in the end, the edges of the web-pages will be black BUT the container area background will be white.

Am I clear here? Can someone please help me out?

Anybody on this? Is it possible? Is the container inside table (single cell)? If not, can it easily be put in side a single cell table (1row by 1 column)?

You need to look at it with Firebug so you can see the parent/child classes. It is definitely possible

Thanks for the direction! Its working well! I was using FireBug and couldn't figure out my problem! The clue you gave me about parent/child relationships helped a lot!
