Webmaster Mode code won't go away

I was doing some editing in webmaster mode today, and after I'd finished, all my pages, including admin pages, had the webmaster mode javascript code at the bottom of the page code. So now, even when navigating around my admin area, I get the pop-up "X-Cart Debug Console" window.

I assume that there must be a template setting where I can turn this off, but I can't figure out where. I'm running 3.5.2 and HTML catalog mode (I've rebuilt the catalog several times, but the extra code is still there), and as I said, its there even in the admin area.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received!

Did you turn it off?

You access the webmaster from the right hand side menu "webmaster mode" in admin. You turn it off (close it) there as well. You may need to log out after turning it off, then log back in. But I tried to recreate your problem and once I clicked on "webmaster mode" and clicked on "close" it reverted back to normal.

About 5 times :-)

Yes, I turned it off, logged off, cleared my browser cache, used different browsers, all to no effect. When I look at the source code of the admin pages and the static pages, the console debug code is there at the bottom of the html code.

Its just as well my store isn't 'live' yet, as it sure looks awful to have the popup load on every store page!

sounds like it wrote the pop up code to your html catalog.

try turn off debug window n admin and then drop old catalog when you remake it.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I asked X-cart support, and they told me to go to admin / General settings/ General options and make sure 'enable debugging console' option is swirched off. I did that, and then rebuilt my catalog, and everything returned to normal.

I guess I'll have turn the console option back on next time I try to use Webmaster mode, but at least it all works now :D
