User Product upload mod

Dear all,

first of all merry christmas!

Secondly, I am developing a store which gathers together creative types from teh Christian community, allows them to make their video, audio, art, flash work available to all and for users to download and purchase items they want to use.

I don't need the full force of the XCart Pro package with all its malls features, just the one store but with a twist. I want users to be able to upload their products (e-versions of movies, art, flash movies, music they have created) into a directory for me to then organise into the store for sale.

Has anyone done a mod to allow users to upload files within X-Cart, or will I just have to nab one of the free php upload scripts? I'd really like something which uses the users loggin details for security.

Many thanks,

Evan

Well,

this could be done easily by making an html page in the root, this page would make statements that back up your purpose, then send them to another html page outside of xcart that is linked to an ftp upload file where you have set the permissions for them to do just this.

tham you go into the server to that file and collect and organize items over to the xcart...

Isn't this what you want?

Use xcart to make your case for submissions on a simple add on htme file based in root, then send them to another html file outside of xcart with the ftp usage... 8)

Thank you.

My apologies. I had thought that since this was about a genuine mod request/suggestion it might go here. My mistake.

Yours apologetically,

Evan
