Where is the v4.4.1 user manual? Can't replace the co
 

xcart is a powerful tool. but I am getting paranoid about having to beating the bushes to find simple answer!
spent whole day and still not able to get this "darn" xcart logo replaced with my own logo!

is 4.4.1 a "working version?" why can't images show up under the images/skin folder???

Some files are shared by all skins. The company logo is one of them.

In the admin area, under the Content tab, click Edit Templates.

Click "Common Files" to enter that directory, then click the images directory.

At the bottom of that screen you can upload files to add to the directory or replace existing ones.

To replace, be sure the filename is exactly the same. To avoid breaking layouts you should also try to make the replacement image the same size as what it's replacing.

The best way to understand how to apply modifications to the X-Cart skin design and layout, on any version through 4.4, is to become familiar with these two tools: webmaster mode and Firebug with Firefox. There are differences among the various versions and templates, but these two tools will help you know exactly what templates and css are controlling the layout of your store.

Thank you folks for the reply...I like the v. 4.4.1 alot better than the older version although it has some bugs...
am still trying to get familiar with the firebugs and webmaster mode...
user manual is a good way to start to understand what is what, before making any bold changes...
