embed a tpl file in a static page
i have a feeling i'm just spacing out on this, but i can't seem to figure out how to include a tpl file on one of my static pages.
basically, i created a new static page (using the admin static page link) to display an RSS feed from my own (separate) blog and i have a tpl file that handles displaying the feed, but i need to include that file on my new static page and i just can't seem to figure out how. using {include file="rssfeeds/rssfeeds.tpl"} just displays that as text rather than including the file if that makes sense, so i'm thinking i must need to enclose that in special tags to make it function rather than displaying? sometimes the whole tpl / smarty structure throws me for a loop and suddenly i find myself incapable of figuring out simple things. lend a girl a hand? thanks. julie |
Re: embed a tpl file in a static page
Go to static pages and check "Parse Smarty tags in the content of embedded pages"
