4.4.1 Logo Edit
 

X-Cart 4.4.1 Attempting to change the logo/banner √ Vivid Dreams/violet. I have followed the instructions provided in the user manual, ⌠Replacing X-Cart▓s Logo■. Saved my logo as a gif 275 x 61 px and replaced as instructed, ending up with a box containing an x. Seems to be no way to remove the image provided within the template (the girl) Admittedly I am a newbe but have followed the instructions. So my question is can the entire banner area be edited in the stock template or just portions.

If you are getting an x, then it's not finding the image.
Did you replace the image, or did you create a new one with a new name and edit the template/css as well?

Thank You for your reply, Yes I went in and removed and replaced the code per the instructions in the manual. there are two different logo's making up the banner one (left side) will replace and end up as a blank box, the other will not let me edit it.

Well I don't know what the instructions say - are you sure that you've put the new image in the right images folder?
The problem with 4.4 is that you have two skin areas now - there's the one in "common_files" and then the one for your vivid dreams template.

Understand, It is in the correct file area. I guess part of the question is can the entire banner be edited or is a part of it protected. Or am I just not on the same page.
