Why does Internet Explorer not work with my site
 

I created a new site with the template "Neon Lights - Sport" using x-cart.
For some reason, Internet explorer (many versions) will not display my site correctly. It looks like the site wishes to be 1400 units wide (or so) but the site is only 1080 units wide or so.

I have changed and modified the files in the Skin1 directory that are related to IE6 and IE7 but they do not seem to have any effect. I also noticed these templates have been removed from the official x-cart website which makes my very concerned.

Does anyone have a fix for this? if so I would appreciate your help.

One thing that could help is to do W3C markup validation and clean up any html and css errors. IE is not as forgiving of errors as other browsers.
