Optimise for Mobile Mods
 

Hi,

We're currently thinking of a targeted mobile PPC cmpgn - but think we need to optimise the site for mobile devices first. Has anybody been through this process? Whats your experience - seen this mod http://tinyurl.com/2aftlvp - looking for some tips on how to approach this

Hi,

I have made mod for iPhone. So you will need to make new skin for your site. This skin will visible only for mobiles.

OK so is it normal to skin for the different mobile operating systems separately?

iOS is clearly still the most important, but Android will have more influence over time to I'd like to get a solution that covers that as well, plus of course RIM, Symbian and Windows mobile if possible

I think that different mobile browsers can have the same skin, just need to add conditions for size of page. Some devices have different screen sizes.

And maybe some browsers can not support JavaScript.

No, It was before ironshop and I cannot sell it as module :(
It's short version for admin area. Script detects that admin use iPhone and show for him special skin. Admin could view only orders, categories and products by iPhone.

And other problem with mobile browsers - testing. iPhone can be tested by Safari in secial mod. For other platforms need to search emulators.
