empty categories not being deprecated in the flyout menu module
 

I have selected "deprecate empty categories" when configuring the flyout menus module in 4.4.1, but my empty categories look exactly the same as my populated categories (they are supposed to appear shaded). It seems like a css issue, but I've used firebug and webmaster mode and I can't figure out what element I need to change.

Any help?
