At a loss...
 

Im relatively new to x cart and need to know how to edit the templates. I've googled/had a good look through the forums but i cant find a complete beginners editting guide.

Some main things i need to know for now are:

How do i get to the TPL files? (ive set up ftp but i cant find them)

Why doesnt the 3 column layout have a css file? :S

Any good guides to editting would be great

Check your cart version and correct in the signature - there is no 4.4.4 cart version
To be able to edit the templates you will need to have at least basic knowledge of smarty, html and css. Templates are located in root/skin1 or root/skin depending on your cart version and if it is 4.4.0 in root/skin/common_templates and root/skin/the_skin_you_are_using
