ё pound sign not displaying in HTML catalog
Hi, I've just run the HTML catalog for the first time on the store I'm designing for a client, and all the ё signs have been replaced by a question mark in a diamond. Do any of you know why this has happend?
You can view the HTML catalog here: http://www.mrdtrading.co.uk/store/catalog/index.html I also can't change the permissions to 755, they are stuck on 644, and I get a message from FireFTP that says "550 Could not change perms on file.html: Operation not permitted". I remember Qualiteam trying to explain this to me a few years ago when I was doing my own business site, something about me not being the 'owner' of the files, because the X-Cart installation had generated them, but I didn't understand. Many thanks for any help you can offer. |
Re: ё pound sign not displaying in HTML catalog
Dont use the html feature - that's a relic from the good old 80's and it shouldn't even be included in xcart package anymore. Use xcart Clean URL's or 3rd party module like CDSEO.

Re: ё pound sign not displaying in HTML catalog
4.3.2 comes with clean urls included. CDSEO is probably a more robust option tho.

Re: ё pound sign not displaying in HTML catalog
Does anybody know how I solve the permissions problem? I am trying to edit some templates from a mod that has been installed, and I keep getting the permissions error. I tried copying the file to my PC and copying it back to the server, but it won't let me, and it won't let me delete the file from the server either.
