Field to include in Smart Search?
 

Hi All

I do make use of SKU numbers but they are disabled from my shop front as it would give my suppliers away. Instead I have an extra field under SKU when you add a new product called product code that was added to my admin. In other words I have 2 codes + manufacturer code by which I can identify a product by, obviously my customers can not see my SKU that is assigned to my products, they only see my own assigned product code and the manufacturer code.

I would like to add my product codes (the extra field) to Smart Search so that it can be picked up when a customer does a search via them. Any idea how this field can be added?

Thanks for that, but I only have 1 extra field that I would like to be included and it is not a standard x-cart field. It is a custom field that was added to my admin where you add new products. Will above suggestion pick up my custom field?

Nope, you would have to contact Bill to see about adding that field into the search parameters.

Sorry, you said 'Extra Field' and I took it literally.
