Annoying Gift Certificates problem, removes formatting!
 

Hi there,

Is there anyway of making the message in gift certificates make line returns ie put the message in paragraphs?

We are running a coporate competition and it just removes all my paragraph formatting in one big clunk of text, looks really amateurish to be fair.

Is there anyway of making it allow for paragraphs?

I have tried putting in markups ie <br /> or <br> and also entering it manually aswell nothing seems to work.

Can someone help please? Its quite urgent.

If that field is not added as a trusted variable in giftcert.php it won't save any formatting. Also try using nl2br as a modifier for that field in the template

{$giftcert_text|nl2br}

This will at least show line breaks if they are saved wwith the text
