Multiple Detailed Images
 

how difficult would it be to make the detailed image upload section a bit more user friendly?

So I would like to be able to browse to several pics, then upload them all at once.

So, browse to file... then browse to another file... then browse to another file... then hit upload only once to upload all three files.

I know CSV would be best but this is for the store owner, and I think a CSV would freak them out :)

I think this is what you need? I can provide you with the code but you will have to figure out where to put it and change the directories for the images/ upload path etc. Let me know if this is what you are after :)

The code I have for above works in a very unique way, once you click the browse it auto uploads the image and shows the status in % in green in the same bar and you can immediately move on to the next browse bar. Like I said I can provide the code for you with the images in a zip file and will leave it in your capable hands to replace the existing xcart code with it and specify the paths of the urls and you can then post it back on the forum as a completed xcart mod.

I do not have this in my xcart admin, but the code is used on my server to upload files/images and it is great and would be even greater to turn it into an xcart mod, but unfortunately I do not have the time.

I will pm it to you as the code as it is display some personal info regarding my server, I trust you with this! I will be on the look out for the mod...lol :)

Dan if you're still around, I would be interested in implementing this as well.
This is a feature that is pretty standard in other carts.. It would be a nice to have this as a new feature in XCart as well.
While most peole bulk upload their products and can do it that way, there are times when you want to manually add products with multiple images, and presently, its pretty tedious.

Hi all,

Is there a mod free that I can use to achieve the multiple upload?
This is a very important functionality and simple enough to be available to all x-cart users.

It's a shame that we need to pay for simple things.
