Changing url.com/xcart to url.com/store...is it possible?
 

i was wondering if i could change my xcart folder to store and will it still work? or are there any settings i can change without loosing any data on my store?

just change the name of the folder and then update the $xcart_web_dir ="/xcart" setting in the config.php file

You can also put the cart in the base directory my coppying the files over from the x-cart directory to you main directory and changing the $xcart_web_dir =""
