Invoice template - modifying - order_invoice.tpl
Anyone think the Invoice template is a mess? Or is it just me 8O
/mail/html/order_invoice.tpl Use spacer.gif as a way to create padding (ancient method), yet there's main.css to do that? Totally bloated code. I've been wading through the quagmire of this file all night. I need gumboots, and a strong flashlight, to see my way. Why are the developers still using tables?? There are nested unecessary tables. I'm looking for a <div></div>, but haven't located one yet . . . . I live in hope . . . . . |

If you read through some of the posts and you will find that this has been a point contention for quite some time.

Do a bit of research on sending html email... you'll find that the use of tables is NECESSARY to ensure delivery to the widest amount of email clients.

Ok Regs. Don't get your nickers in a twist. Didn't know that, but no need to be curt. If you look at the Shipping/Billing bit - there's still a better way to do it without using good ol' "spacer.gif". As I come to understand the other tpl files better, I will see how much unecessary tables are still being used. Extremely bloaty, in my humble opinion 8) |

You asked why the developers are still using tables.
I just answered. Speaking of twisted knickers... |
