modernized product grid?

I'm wondering if anyone has posted about their success converting the product display format from table to div, or better yet UL? Searching here hasn't turned up much for me yet.

My goal is to display each product within its own <li> in category or manufacturer view.

We can do that for you if you're interested. Our Smart Template employs the <UL> / <LI> method also.
